Non-Resident Deer Leg Tags 1920 - Present
From very early on Wisconsin has welcomed deer hunters from other states. During the period in which metal leg tags were issued these tags were marked with a "N.R." Another interesting fact about these tags is the two different colors for the same years between 1968 and 1976. As seen in the example of the 1970 below one tag has a red end while the other is blue. During those years some tags were issued for "Non-Resident Deer Hunting", and others were issued for "Non-Resident Deer & Bear Hunting," and the difference is marked by the color.
